What is pick by voice?
With pick by voice technology based on speech recognition, also known as voice recognition (speech recognition or voice recognition), you can do voice-controlled work in a distribution center or warehouse. Each employee has a voice terminal and headset with microphone. They receive spoken instructions naturally and confirm orders verbally in real time to your WMS, ERP or our CaptureTech Connect software.

How do I deploy pick by voice?
Voice can be used for all work processes in your distribution center or warehouse. The most profit, however, is achieved by using pick by voice in order picking. Of all warehouse activities, order picking is the most time-consuming process. The gains you realize by deploying pick by voice, in terms of accuracy and error reduction and thus productivity, are potentially very large.
How does pick by voice work in practice?
A pick by voice solution is fed with data from the WMS. CaptureTech’s products communicate effortlessly with all known and commonly used WMSs. With a direct link between the pick by voice terminals and the WMS, data processed with voice enters the WMS in real time. The WMS indicates through the headset to which location the order picker should walk. After speaking a check number, which ensures the accuracy of the location, the pick by voice system indicates in voice how many units they need to pick.
